Born in Hayward, California, Yavette Shupe speaks perfectly, apart from English, her native language, also Spanish, French and Italian. In 1990 she enrolled in the University of Texas in Austin where, sponsored by the Governor of Texas, she transferred to Mexico City to attend the prestigious “Universidad Iberoamericana” studying International Relations and International Business.
She spent 4 years in the capital of Mexico where she also taught English to Mexican business men, entrepreneurs and colleagues.
After Mexico she moved back to California where she started to work for Global Comm Inc. as coordinator.
Thanks to her ability to teach English she became responsible for training human resources in 13 countries.
Later she was promoted to the level of Vice-President of sales. In this role she develops coaching competences as a motivator and supports sales managers and employees. In 1997 Yavette is General Manager.
She moves to San Diego having a better job opportunity with “Mpower Communications” as manager of the offices in San Diego, Sacramento e San Francisco. In 2002 she received the offer to be manager of the MCI division of “World-Com, Inc”.
Since 2004 she's married and lives in Calabria where she started to cooperate with schools and public authorities in the field of Education and Trainings.
In 2017 she opens the linguistic club "American Club Catanzaro".
She is currently a contract professor at Università Magna Græcia in southern Italy and a motivational coach for teachers and professionals. She is part idealist, part pragmatist, forever curious and extremely tenacious.
For JUMP she's training in "Coaching&mentoring", CLIL and she0s running workshops on motivation and creativity. Furthermore she teaches the English language courses.
She loves helping others, share energy and enthusiasm, widening people's knowledge and opening minds.
